MELISSA TEIGUE,

Certified ISR Instructor

After having my daughter Melyn in February, 2014 I looked into ISR because swim lessons were important due to having a pool where we live and my love of water. At the time the commitment and financial aspect didn't seem like the right fit. In July of that same year I witnessed my 4 year old niece being pulled out of a pool with my mom and wife giving CPR to resuscitate her. It seemed like a lifetime before the firefighters and EMTs arrived. We were so fortunate that it was a non-fatal drowning but after that incident we knew we would pay and do anything to not have that happen to our daughter. Melyn started ISR at 7 months old and has continued to be a refresher to this day, and I have been an advocate of ISR ever since.

In 2018 our 10 week old daughter Adelyn passed away of a rare disease and life was forever changed. She was the catalyst for leaving my corporate job of 10 years and doing something more fulfilling and that brings passion to my life, so I turned to ISR. I knew it was the right fit for me and I've always believed that if I couldn't save my own child at least I can save other children and save parents from the heartache I am enduring.

I want nothing more than to prevent as many drownings as humanely possible and look forward to teaching all your infants and children ISR's Self-Rescue skills in the near future.
